Floating Steel Staircase Fabrication
The staircase structure was fabricated from carbon steel, selected for its strength, durability, and suitability for bespoke floating staircase designs. Bespoke Curved Handrail with Seamless On-Site Welding
A defining feature of this floating staircase is the bespoke curved handrail, manufactured to follow the flow of the staircase precisely.
To achieve a completely seamless finish:
- All connections were welded on site
- No mechanical fixings were visible
- Welds were ground and blended for invisibility
The spindles were installed directly into the oak treads, eliminating the need for a bottom rail and enhancing the floating effect.
The handrail was finished in offset black, providing subtle contrast against the oak while complementing the steel structure.
